About

Hello there! Welcome to my shiny new knitting blog! I have a regular blog too, but I didn’t want to bore those readers with talk of yarn, guage, sock books, and the like. So here I am. Let me tell you a little bit about my knitting background.

I learned to knit while in college, when it was “all the rage”.  I’ve made scarves, hats, (two odd-sized) mittens, socks, and a dog sweater (haha).  I recently learned how to cable knit, and was able to practice fair isle knitting on those two mittens.

What’s in store?  Well, I’d like to make more awesomer, complicated socks with outrageous patterns and duo stranded knitting.   I would also like to make some sweet hats before the Holiday season hits.  I have found a number of really cool patterns for this.  I don’t know if I’ll ever have the patience or talent to knit a sweater, but in the event that I feel I can and want to, I have a pattern in mind.

I spend a lot of my free time browsing the knitting groups on Flickr.  People post pictures of their amazing creations, making me jealous of their talent and color selections.  My husband thinks I’m a little special, because he’ll walk in the office and find me staring at a page full of socks.

Hi – I ws wondering where you got the pattern for the “Diamond and Smocked Baby Blanket” that I saw on your blog?
I would love to make that blanket for a friend of mine who is having a baby.
If you could let me know the source it would be so greatly appreciated!

    Thanks!

    Stephanie,

Here’s the link to the PDF on Craftster.

Also, are you on Ravelry? If you are, here’s the project page for the pattern. And if you’re not, well, you should join! If you’re a knitter, it will change your life :)
